    • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
    • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • Stir Fry Sauce
    • 1 cup Beef stock or water
    • 1 tablespoon All-purpose soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
    • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing cooking wine (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • Other Ingredients
    • 1/2 cup Water
    • 2 lbs Broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Prepare Beef: Cut the beef into ΒΌ" slices against the grain. Place the slices in a large bowl and season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, mix beef stock/water, soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine, and cornstarch until the cornstarch is completely dissolved. Set aside.
  3. Steam Vegetables: In a large wok or skillet with a lid, add water and broccoli. Heat on medium-high and cover to steam until fork-tender (about 4 minutes). Remove the broccoli and set aside.
  4. Cook Beef: Wipe any remaining moisture from the wok. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and the marinated beef. Pan-fry until the beef is fully cooked (about 4 minutes). Add the stir-fry sauce and simmer on low until it thickens. Then add the steamed broccoli and toss until everything is well combined.
  5. Serve over steamed rice for a delicious and complete meal. Enjoy!
