- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing cooking wine (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- Other Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2 lbs Broccoli florets
Instructions
- Prepare Beef: Cut the beef into ΒΌ" slices against the grain. Place the slices in a large bowl and season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
- Make Sauce: In a small bowl, mix beef stock/water, soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine, and cornstarch until the cornstarch is completely dissolved. Set aside.
- Steam Vegetables: In a large wok or skillet with a lid, add water and broccoli. Heat on medium-high and cover to steam until fork-tender (about 4 minutes). Remove the broccoli and set aside.
- Cook Beef: Wipe any remaining moisture from the wok. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and the marinated beef. Pan-fry until the beef is fully cooked (about 4 minutes). Add the stir-fry sauce and simmer on low until it thickens. Then add the steamed broccoli and toss until everything is well combined.
- Serve over steamed rice for a delicious and complete meal. Enjoy!
