- 2 lbs Salmon fillets, with skin-on
- Salt, to season
- Pepper, to season
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian Herb Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon Dried Parsley
- 1 Lemon (1/2 for the juice and 1/2 sliced)
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 3 Garlic cloves, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat dry salmon fillets with a paper towel. Season all over with salt, pepper, italian herb seasoning, and parsley.
- Heat the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over high heat until hot. Add in the butter and sliced garlic, stir until golden, then remove from pan. Place the salmon fillets flesh side down and sear for 2 minutes. Gently lift to check for a crispy crust. Then flip and squeeze 1/2 a lemon over the fillets.
- Top salmon with lemon and garlic slices. Then place the pan in the oven and cook for 4 minutes or until salmon reaches desired doneness. Serve immediately.
