- 3 Chili Peppers, Medium Hot (or red pepper flakes)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 Shallot
- 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
- 5 tablespoons Harissa paste
- 1 teaspoon Brown sugar
- 1 pinch Cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over low heat in a pan. Add half of the garlic, half of the shallot, and the chillies (or red pepper flakes). Saute until fragrant and the ingredients start to sizzle. Remove from heat.
- In a food processor, combine diced tomatoes, harissa paste, remaining garlic and shallots, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, apple cider vinegar, and the oil-infused mixture from the pan.
- Blend the ingredients until reaching the desired consistency.
