Introducing Our Mobile App - Easy Installation Guide
We're excited to announce that Holly's Kitchen now has a mobile app! Our website has been converted to a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can now install it directly on your phone just like any other app from the app store.
What is a Progressive Web App?
A PWA is a website that can be installed on your phone and behaves like a native app. It works offline, loads quickly, and provides a full-screen experience without browser UI. Our app maintains all the functionality of the website while providing the convenience of a mobile app.
How to Install on Android
Installing our app on Android devices is incredibly easy:
- Open the website in Chrome browser on your Android phone
- Tap the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner
- Look for the "📱 Install App" button in the menu
- Tap "Install App" and follow the prompts
- The app will be added to your home screen and app drawer
That's it! The app will now launch in full-screen mode and work even when you're offline.
How to Install on iPhone
For iPhone users, the process is slightly different since Safari handles PWAs a bit differently:
- Open the website in Safari on your iPhone
- Tap the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner
- Look for the iOS installation instructions in the menu
- Tap the share button (⬆️) at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Tap "Add" to confirm
The app icon will appear on your home screen alongside your other apps.
