Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Large egg, at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the egg. Add melted and slightly cooled butter, brown sugar, buttermilk, and pure vanilla extract. Mix well.
