- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
- 2 cups Chicken broth
- 1 medium Lemon, zest and juice
- 8 ounces Pasta of your choice (farfalle, penne, angel hair, etc.)
- 1/4 cup Parmigiano, grated
- 5 Fresh basil leaves, sliced
Instructions
- In a medium-sized pot over medium heat, melt butter and add chopped garlic, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until the garlic is softened but not browned.
- Pour in chicken broth, add lemon zest, lemon juice, and pasta. Stir to combine everything. Cover the pot, increase heat to high, and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 9 to 10 minutes or until the pasta is cooked to your desired doneness. Stir occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
- Stir in grated Parmigiano and sliced basil, then remove the pot from heat. Serve immediately with extra cheese and basil if desired.
